Building Community, Creating Places,
Using Common Sense
Project for Public Spaces (PPS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people create and sustain public places that build communities.
In honor of Earth Day, Urban Outfitters will donate to PPS for every person who declines a shopping bag this week!
Registration is still open for PPS' spring training courses in New York City:
How to Turn a Place Around (April 29-30th, 2010)How to Create Successful Markets (May 14-15, 2010)
PPS recently completed research for the Federal Transit Administration that developed and tested a series of tools to more effectively engage riders in transit dependent communities. A summary of these tools can be viewed on a poster developed for the 89th Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting.
